Four ways to improve your business marketing in 2024

Marketing is about lots of things coming together to help you feel like you’re making waves and change is happening and it is having a positive impact on your business.

Here are some reminders to help you continue to make 2024 your best year yet!
Or to start making positive strives forward.

1.     Be clear about your services and define your solution.
Make sure your website, your social bios, and Google My Business all clearly identify your business services/offers/products and who you are.
Q: If someone landed on your social platform or your website would they know immediately what you do?

2.     Plan a marketing strategy – by that we mean, identify the milestones during the year and work backward.
What do you want to happen and when?
One month, three months, six months, a year.
Q: Think stretch goal - difficult but possible, ambitious goal - in your dreams, this would happen, and an immediate goal that can be achieved with focus over the next month.

Any event, launch, or new product requires a very focused four to six-week build-up.
Longer if you have little social presence and a small network with no active buy-in or engagement.

Therefore, it’s important to plan a strategy, it should include some of the following; social posts, videos, Reels, Podcasts, newsletters, networking opportunities, press releases, sponsored posts, guest appearances, and blogs to share your business message.
Consider how you can introduce yourself, share bite-sized information, and knowledge to build up the interest in your offer.

3.     Schedule your social media and plan your blogs and newsletters to support your messaging.
Marketing is a year-round activity that helps elevate your business. It’s not a passive action, it requires energy, thought, and planning. Everything you say, do, and implement should be part of the overall narrative.
If you do nothing, nothing changes. You can't just turn it on and expect results.
Q: How often do you post, comment, and genuinely interact with your followers and other businesses?

4.     Be more visible. Get good branding photographs, create videos of you talking about your services, embrace Reels, join TikTok, post on LinkedIn, introduce yourself on your social, and apply to feature on radio shows – ask us, and we can give you relevant advice. Remember to shout about what you do from the rooftops, think about submitting a business award application, writing a press release, joining useful business groups, and starting to comment and engage in relevant online conversations where your expertise is valued.

A measure of change is when your friends make this comment "Wow, you're busy!" OR "I keep seeing you in my feed!" You know you are starting to make an impact.

Why?

Because your friends are always watching. Your family will be watching too, and they are all quietly impressed by your drive, determination, and vision. Importantly, if they are noticing then you know others are too, the waves have started, and your effort is starting to make an impact.

Q: Do you sometimes wish someone else would promote your business instead of you?
You are not alone. A huge percentage of business owners struggle with active marketing. If this is you consider getting support if you know there is potential for your business to seriously grow with a marketing strategy and help.

Remember:
There is no one better than you offering what you do. Don't self-doubt.
No one knows your business better than you.
 Trust your expertise and knowledge.

The only difference between OTHER people and THEIR businesses that keep appearing in your feeds and your searches that you keep watching is - they are positively making waves by implementing all of the above.
