Whether you love marketing or not these are the facts:
1. You need to build your brand to help you sell
2. You need to define your marketplace and target your audience
3. You need to recognise 50% of selling is now virtual – yes that means it's online
4. You need to introduce technology to help you sell effectively
5. You MUST put the buyer first in everything you do
Sounds easy enough but it does mean you need to have everything in order.
What does your business do? This is the easy bit.
Who are your customers? Do you really know?
What are their specific needs and pain points that you can help them with?
How do you interact with your customers online?
Are you responsive? Be honest here.
How are you actively marketing your business to your targeted audience?
Oh, and in case you didn’t know, being complacent is not an option.
By this we mean you need to be brutal and ask yourself these questions on a regular basis (see below). Trust us your customers will be and they will go elsewhere if they are not happy. Loyalty is overrated but good service isn’t, it’s expected.
Tough LOVE questions you need to ask yourself:
Is my business good enough?
Am I reviewing, adapting, and updating our services regularly?
Do we deliver excellence? Are we punctual, good at communicating, and do we exceed expectations?
Could we do it better?
To successfully promote and grow your business you need to enjoy what you do, love your business, and be prepared to give yourself a tough appraisal. And then make the changes needed and move forward.
So, YES love has everything to do with it!
